A Cut Above invites emerging fashion creatives to rethink the suit, not by tradition, but by vision. With access to our atelier, students will transform it into a statement of identity, innovation, and bold self-expression.
The Program
Hive & Colony joins forces with Istituto Marangoni Miami to open its world of bespoke menswear to future visionaries. Each student will receive three Hive & Colony suits as a blank canvas, and they will reimagine it through their creative lens. The final designs will debut at a one-night-only gallery showcase at the school.
The Guideline
Students must submit a proposal of what the suit means to them today. Using the traditional suit as a foundation, they will reinterpret it to reflect the current cultural moment.First submission includes sketches, mood board, and a 500-word rationale.
